Job Description:

The role of the Talent Management and Development (TM&D) function is to build simple, effective people processes, programs, and tools that help managers deliver business results. Our objective is to work with HR Generalists and Line Leaders to produce a reliable people pipeline - delivering the right person with the right skills and experience for the right job at the right time. We are seeking a highly versatile individual with business experience and a track record for delivering exceptional results.


Position
Responsibilities:


The role currently reports to the SVP, Talent Management & Development. TM&D is looking for a Director whose primary role is to coordinate the design, development and delivery of leadership programs directed toward officers and future leaders. The role will partner with TM&D staff and enterprise HR leaders to introduce an "experienced-based" learning platform. The incumbent will evaluate leadership requirements/capabilities needed to match anticipated revenue growth and business expansion projections, then coordinate the delivery of programs and processes to strengthen available "ready-now" talent across Schwab. Through discussions with enterprise executives and HR leaders, they will develop effective leadership development strategies. The incumbent will identify improvement opportunities with existing processes, tools, and programs. S/he will research, design, and develop new processes, tools and programs and then coordinate firm-wide rollout plans (as appropriate).
Responsibilities may include leading organizational change (related to the development of talent), manager development and related talent development initiatives. The incumbent will effectively manage client relationships, secure consensus, make recommendations/presentations, handle follow-up activities/plans and train others. S/he will also partner with and work collaboratively with TM&D team members.


Qualifications:

Minimum 8-10 years experience in developing, implementing, facilitating, and measuring initiatives, processes, programs, and tools in three or more of the following: organization design/effectiveness/development, process reengineering, change management, performance management/assessment, leadership/management development, learning and development and certification programs. The successful candidate will be a solid project manager with a bias towards continuous improvement, and experienced in working with line leaders to enhance the performance of a business unit. Strong research and analytical abilities; strong functional skills with business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Is flexible and deals successfully with ambiguity and change. Has the ability to assess and translate business performance gaps into practical value-added design and delivery terms and responses. Knowledge of web-design for learning systems is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS

Relevant Work Experience: Human Resources-6+ yrs

Languages: English - written, English - spoken
