Requirements
Candidates must have a BS in Accounting and a minimum 6 years of related experience to include a minimum 3 years of management experience in private industry working for a medium to large size company as well as 2-3 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 experience preferred). A CPA is preferred, but is not required.
Desired experience
includes financial reporting knowledge, foreign currency and consolidation matters, ERP system migration and implementation, mergers and acquisition integration, team-player mentality (excellent communication, problem solving, and leadership skills), flexibility to work within a constantly changing environment, ability to research and work independently, strong working knowledge and application of US GAAP, ability to implement new or make recommendations for process improvements, dedication to providing superior customer service with a commitment to quality.
Description/Responsibilities
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to drive a timely and accurate month/year-end close and consolidation process and review and approve monthly account reconciliations and journal entries. The Manager will ensure compliance with established internal control policies; while identifying areas for improvement. This includes on-going compliance and process improvement related to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and future system requirements. This position will provide management of G/L, A/P, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and consolidation functions and assist in managing the relationship and assume direct responsibility for the coordination and support of external auditors. The Accounting Manager will assist the Corporate Controller in ad hoc projects and analysis, as required.
