Notre cliente, une grande compagnie publique située au centre-ville de Montréal, est présentement à la recherche d’un(e) Directeur(trice) – Conformité financière pour superviser l’équipe de conformité. The incumbent will report to the Vice President and Controller and will directly supervise five professionals. The candidate will have to work closely with the Corporate Financial Groups as well as the external auditors.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the ongoing CEO/CFO Certification requirements (Bill 198 ), including to:
• Ensure that the documentation relating to Disclosure Controls and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting is maintained annually,
• Plan and coordinate the annual testing requirements,
• Perform follow-ups of the Bill 198 testing progress and results,
• Perform follow-ups of all previously identified deficiencies,
• Identify, evaluate and make presentations respecting the new developments relating to the CEO/CFO Certification requirements (both in Canada and in the United States),
• Coordinate and follow-up of the sub-certification process,
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the Controller’s Handbook,
• Review of Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) as well as other public documents,
• The person might also be responsible for updating all of the financial Policies & Procedures within the Company.

Requirements:

• A professional designation (CA a definite asset);
• Minimum of 7 years of experience (combined experience in a professional firm with corporate exposure is an important asset);
• Profound knowledge of GAAP, SOX or Bill 198;
• Experience in a leadership and supervising role;
• Bilingualism;
• Opened to travel internationally up to 25% of the time (major concentration during the months of August to December).
